Trek · Sunrise summit
Sunrise over the Himalayas
Chandrashila means Moon Rock. At about 4,090 m it is the highest point of the Chopta trek, with a wide panorama of snow peaks on a clear morning.
The climb continues roughly 1.5 km beyond Tungnath, so most trekkers start early to reach the summit for sunrise.
